Default Mickey Thompson ET streets vs....

Thinking about getting some Mickey Thompson streets or ET streets radials, but wanted to know you guys opinions on them, especially from guys who use them. What other tires would you guys reccomend? What's the differance between the street, ET street I and II? What I can gather it's the II is made for wider rims? They seemed to be the same, but from the picture on the website the II looked like it had more tread, and the regular street looks to be just a good street tire, but IDK? How much life are you guys getting out of them? How hard do you abuse them, etc. Thanks, RTT.

There is the older ET street style which is pretty much a slick and is a bias ply tire, then there is the ET Street drag radial, which is is of course a radial. I use the radial on my car and pull the front wheels, going low 1.5 60 foots. They last me about 1 year, but that is with racing at least one or two weekends per month in a class (which ends up being about 8-10 passes per event) and also with pretty regular street driving. Hope that helps.

Yes it did help. I understand the differance between the regular ET streets and the street radials now after doing some more reading. I'm deffinatly not a tire whiz. I think I'm leaning toward the ET street radials. If I get a year or at least close to it out of the tires I'll be happy. I'm thinking I'll get more since it will only be driven a few days a week for 8 months out of the year.

I use the new ET SR II 265/40/18 and they work well, several turbo fox bodies have recently gone in the 6s @ 200+ on radials, they do hook
