Default 03 mustang GT vert vs. Jeep SRT8

Well after coming back from the track and running a 13.2 w/ 2.1 60ft @104 60 degrees out. I know it is horrible, but the last weekend i ran a 12.9 w/ a 1.9 @107 40 degrees out. Which is better but still just as bad. Suspension mods, lca's nitto 555's and lowered.

Anyways so i am driving home and i see a jeep STR8 and i just cruise by and it keeps pace. So i just drop it into 4th and take off. He catches up and we did about 5 rolls from 60-100ish. Every run we just stayed next to eachother and nobody gained anything at all. We gave eachother the thumbs up and he got off. Does that sound about right with my mods. My power is in my sig full bolt ons, Vortech V1 pwr pipe and i run 4.10's.

mystery of my fast slow stang solved on page 2.

What kind of traps do you have? The 13.2 doesn't mean much at all from a roll on.

Nice run, those SRT8 Jeeps are no joke. I really like your car man, I'm not usually a big fan of the standard new edge GTs but yours is hot!

A 104 trap speed with that much power....sucks. Were you spinning a lot on that pass or holding back/letting off towards the end (or was that before the s/c?)? Is that track at a high elevation maybe?

Your car makes more power to the ground than a stock SRT8 Jeep IIRC. If that Jeep was stock, I think you should have pulled on it.

You sure you're not spinning? You could easily be spinning and not even know it. Also, you should've smoked that SRT-8 Jeep from a roll. Their traps are low, way lower than other SRT-8s anyway. Usually around 103-105 mph. They leave harder than hell though. They are monsters from stoplight to stoplight. 425lbs of low end torque+low gearing+AWD= A Win from a dig. You should be rolling out at least 110mph, imo. What tires do you have?

Edit, nevermind, I see you've got Nitto 555s. You need 555Rs at least. They should help you get a more consistent 60' and prevent you from losing traction when you hit 2nd and 3rd too.

Your trap should be much higher. I trapped 109 with an o/r midpipe and a K&N filter.
