Default First time out with the Magnum SRT8

While my wife let me go to the track tonight and I had some fun. I made four passes. My car is a magum srt8 with option group 1,2,3 and the kicker upgrade. It weighed 4538 lbs with me in it. My mods are C & L cai, predator with the off the shelf tune, and a 180 stat. I have dr's but I ran my car with the stock tires set to 27psi. My first pass was a 13.58@104 with me not getting any cool down time and shifting with the auto stick. I let the car get about 25 minutes of cool down and let the car shift it's self and went a 13.001@108. Another 25minute cool down and went a 12.91@108.48 with a 1.937 60'. But I now had to go into elimanations and was running super street so I could not dial faster than a 13.00. I went a 12.966@103.29 on the brake with a 1.976 60'. I see some 12.70's @109 with in the next 10 passes with a 1.8 something 60' on stock tires. I am very pleased with it for the first time out. I am surpose to go to E-Town in the a.m. but I think I want to stay home and make somemore passes at MIR.

That's awesome, especially for a heavy car like that.

Pretty much what I would expect from a SRT-8 with a few mods. Nice driving.

even for only having 3real passes and no real cool down time. Over on the srt forums they told me 13.00 or slower on my first time out and that I wont get a 60' better than a 2.00 I stayed home today and am not going to etown. I see 12.50-12.40 with no other changes.

impressive runs for a station wagon!

your thinking seat time alone will cut another .4-.5 off your ETs?

almost. Seat time, more cool down time, a CMR tune and better weather. It rained part of
the day yesterday so I know it was not the best weather. I am going back to the track today and hope for some 12.70's or even maybe a high 60.
