Solider with yur mods I would have taught that you would have killed him pretty good from a roll. I dont no nada bout the colbalts SC but i have raced a turbo stock colbalt from a roll of 10mph. We were neck and neck until 110 or so when he pulled me bout no more than a car. And then we raced from a 35mph i believe and it was pretty close aswell but he edged me out bout a car to 90mph.

Yeah I'm trying to get this racing thing down man. I need a lot of practice... Found out through a friend of mine that he has alot more done to the car (SS owner) than he put on. Also I just ordered a tune from Breenspeed for my cams so I expect she run a little better. Also, I always thought those type of cars (SRT-4, Cobalt SS, WRX) are hard to beat from a roll because they have the advantage of the S/C & Turbo. Is this true?

Looking at your mod list I would have thought that you would murder him quite badly, so I really have to give props to the kid with the Cobalt for not being completely humiliated.
BTW this is off topic but you went from a 3.73 gear ratio to 4.10? That's a 9% difference. Was there a reason you went through the expense and hassle? [/hijack]

Should have been worse (Yeah man I suck, lol). About the gears. Man, point blank I feared the gear. I really thought 410's would be to much for my car when it was a daily driver. I bought a truck now so I drive it maybe once a week now. Thus is what really changed my mind. Rode with a buddy that has a very lightly modded 01 GT (cai, mac catback, tb&plenum with 410's). I rode in his car and I could actually feel the power. Since I've put 410's on my car it runs like a beast (but it does take a bit to get use to). I can chirp hard in 3rd and my 5th gear is very usable now. As far as the gas mileage didn't really notice a big difference.

Yea i wanna see one of those turbo'd ones in action. I think they'd be pretty darn quick.
I will post some vids in a little while, they are beast.

The average driver seems to run semi-similar times with both (though experenced drivers can pull better times). The SC has hit a best of 14.0 stock at like 99 (many have trapped 100) the TC has had a best stock run of 13.56 @ 104. Both have there strengths, with just a tune and a few bolt-ons the TC is ~315+whp and 350ft-lbs. The SC with a tune can rev up to 7400 and still hold power along with it's 4.05 FD it has really good topend. It's easy to get 270 whp on the stock blower and some have hit 300whp on it (without nitrous).
The SC is more comparable to a NE (GT) and responds alot better to bolt-ons.
