Neil.....aka racerns on the forums, took his dad's ZR1 to the track this weekend. He managed a 11.05 @ 129mph with it......bone stock, and on stock tires. That was with a 1.75 short time.
Ranger was there and drove it to a 10.98 @ 131 on DR's......with a 1.75 short time as well. Figured I'd share....
Wow...I am a little shocked it didn't trump the 10.9 @ 129mph posted by Furman on stock tire.... maybe in a few more trips? Seems like the TM is holding it back...
I was guest-driving the ZR1 owned by ZO6 Jeff. So I made a soft launch and a relaxed 1-2 shift.
In my 10.85 pass my driving was diialed-in (I own the car) by 51 previous passes, I launched it harder, made a very strong 1-2 shift and was running in much better weather.
Give me 50 passes in the ZR1 and it will run low 10.60s on DR probably at 134. Quite something for a stock car with a warranty.
monster of a car no doubt, a few of them running around in my neck of the woods, trouble is those cars can leave hard, with that power a 1.4-1.5 60 should be doable in a 3300 lb car, but even with DRs it wouldn't
Well, was this a surprise or anything? I thought the Z06 was a low to mid 11 sec car stock. I would think a 600+hp Vette would be a 10 second car with a decent driver....for sure.

I don't think they correct times at the 1320 for that......
Yea, I think once guys get more seat time they'll take this car deep into the 10's with next to nothing done to it. And I expect to see a 10.8x pass bone stock eventually.
