I've raced the R/T and the SRT-8 and beat both of them, the R/T by a few cars from a dig and the SRT-8 by a car from a dig. Last week, two days after I had my 3.73s installed, I got to run againt the new Camaro SS from a dig to around 110mph and I won by a car. His was automatic like mine so we figured it would be a fair race.

It's such a shame that Dodge made them so heavy. If they'd trimmed them down to a leaner 3,500lbs they'd be quite a bit quicker.

Best trap 107.11mph, we'll see what the new intake/carb setup does.
12.80 at 110.5mph NHRA DA corrected

A bit?! If those things were 3500 lbs with 425 crank HP, those would be easy 12.3-12.5 second cars with just a tune! That would be hella scary lol

I've never raced a Z28/SS in my current car.. (not much of a need either)...

I did run a 300C SRT8 from a 70 roll and we were door to door up until 130mph when I let off..

I've also witnessed SRT8s running 13.0~13.3 @ 107~108mph here at Cordova now.

Oh, and people throw the word 'rape' around way too casually on this forum... :-( I know you understand what it really means...

300C? I don't care if it takes me stock or worked. It's still a piece and a waste of gas to "race". Gah.

I raced a 300C SRT8 with

-CAI & tune
-LT's & catback

this was back when I just had street radials and a tune

so I've been told the 2nd gear in those things kick like a mule but the power band flinches down a little once they go into third to make room for the long 4th gear... so everyone said it would have been close if the guy wouldn't have let off... I personally think he would have slowly puled me but whatever... yay for a good launch :-)

At least you're a car guy with an open mind...

What exactly makes the 300C SRT8 a 'peice' and a 'waste of gas'??
