Default Kerns vs LS1 Trans Am, 05-09 Mustang GT, and 04 Mach 1

Its time for my weekly race updates . God I love living in a city where everyone wants to race.

LS1 Black Trans Am - We ran from 30mph, he honked it off, and I put about 1/2 a car length on the initial hit then he stopped my pull, by the top of 2nd I was 1/4 car ahead. We both stayed in it until around 120mph with absolutely nobody gaining any ground and then shut down with me still 1/4 car ahead. I wanted to do a dig race which I am pretty sure I would have killed him off the line then just held the lead from there, but the guy said his clutch was going out and didn't wanna run from a stop.

2004 Mach 1 - I was driving along and I see this red Mach 1 and a Lancer (might have been an Evo) lining up. So I pull up behind the Mach and as soon as they hit it I hit it as well, I stayed pretty much right behind the Mach until he left off and then I caught up to him whenever he slowed back down. We ended up behind a couple of cars at a light and I asked him what all was done to his car. He just said exhaust and a chip. At this point I asked him if he wanted to run but he said he was going to meet up with this girlfriend at the Sonic up ahead.

Mach 1 (part 2) - Later on in the night I see him again and chase after him. We get on the road and go from a 30mph roll. I was wanting to honk it off but he just hit it. So from the initial hit he put about 1/2 a car on me. I then had to shift before he did so I am now 3/4 of a car back. He then shifts to 3rd and I am now 1/2 a car back, but slowly, and I do mean slowly I start pulling on him. He goes to shift to 4th and I have my front tire at his 40th anniversary emblem and I guess he missed 4th cause I just went flying by him. Then we both went our separate ways.

05-09 Mustang GT - Mods were Exhaust and I have no idea what else. I am on my way home and I see this blue mustang GT and I pull up next to him and throw him a rev. He slows down to about 35-40ish and I drop it into 2nd. He just hits it, no honks, and so I am about a 3/4 a car back before I stop his pull and by the top of 3rd I am starting to pass him when he shuts down. We then catch the next light, I ask him if he wants to go on green and he gives me the nod. On Green I get out about 3/4 a car on the launch and from there I just keep pulling on him. I shut down at 120mph and he was about 2 cars or so back.

not bad considering the mod's.

need to get some header's on that thing. How much is it putting to he wheels? Whats your track times?

Awesome! That's a strong running 2 valve. I have a feeling the driver mod is helping too!

You must be winning the the driver mod. The LS1 and 4V should be pulling you up top.

I agree. Both cars should've put a hurting on you up top, even the S197. Good runs regardless OP. You sound like a hell of a driver.

The car is putting down 253RWHP/299RWTQ and I don't have any track times yet. Next mod is a supercharger then I'll get LT's.

With the Mach1 we didn't really get to go for a full length race like I wanted and the LS1 did pull up top in 2nd but in 3rd nobody gained, same with 4th. My friends 01 Z28 with exhaust and SLP lid pulled so much harder up top then this guys. So maybe the Trans Am has just been beaten down. As far as the 05-09 Mustang GT. I am positive it was a GT. I have raced a couple of them, usually for not as long and for some reason I actually pull a little up top on them. Especially 3rd gear. For some reason I always seem to pull about a car from just after the 3rd gear shift to right before I need to shift into 4th. Off the launch I had 3/4 of a car to a car and then by the time I shifted into 3rd I was about a car 1/2 ahead. Once we hit 4th gear I pretty much just held the 2 car lead or so.
