Can't believe this thread is still going.

It is hard for the S197 without any power mods to get to 160. Trust me. I own two types of stangs, and my S/C cars start to really slow down once 160 turns. Well, except for the Cobra. More Power, Aero, and better cooling.

Anyhow, let's keep this Civil as Dave said, and not attack each other. We all have opinions, and we let loose sometimes and chit gets outta hand.

Yah not sure it's really correct to call the mustang a muscle car.

Who gives a sh!t what you call it? Sports car, muscle car, pony car, economy car? It's all relative to what your comparing it to. You compare it to a Veyron and your mustang is an economy car. Compare it to a chevy aveo and it's a sports car. But the fact remains a lightly modded Mustang is gonna get spanked top end by a SRT-8. You wanna hang with the big boys you gotta spend the money on the mods.

I've never actually raced but according to my dyno numbers. I should run 8s on street tires.

Mine is an economy car, I think I'm averaging a whopping 12.3ish mpg!

You can never have too much power, just not enough traction.

No joke, I have similar numbers and I still get better mileage (16 lately with the new cam, mixed highway stop / go traffic), and my car weighs a hell of a lot more...

Like I said it's all relative. Stage 3 SRT-4s and Veyrons use a full tank of gas every 7 minutes at full throttle.
