Ktown, I'd love to see that video of the SI doing 150 mph. I had an 08 SI Sedan, and 135 mph was all she would do. I think it maybe possible on a modded SI, but definitely not a stock SI.

I saw it probably two years ago. It literally took forever for it to reach 150, but it did.

I believe it was on the salt flats or some other desert type setting.

IDK about yours my my 07 has an electronic limiter that stops the car from going faster than 133-134mph.

Limiters are easily removable though.

The 172hp 6 Speed manual V6 Tiburon could hit 155mph stock. It took forever... but it's possible.

^If so, are Mustangs really drag limited to 135mph?

I have a very, VERY hard time seeing a new S197 GT being drag limited at 135. With my old engine I got my 67 up to around 130-135(probably faster if I had kept pulling for another 15 minutes), and I'm sure it was less than 300hp at the crank....and though the aero on a 67 Mustang isn't totally horrible, it's certainly far from great. The new Mustangs are 300hp with much better aerodynamics.

13.20's with 2.25-2.30 60's, 40+ year old suspension sucks!
Best trap 107.11mph, we'll see what the new intake/carb setup does.

yeah.. i got to 135 with tons of room to spare with just intake+tune pretty quickly.. ive seen vids of them doing over 150...

srt8 I really think is garbage.. RT all the way.. if i could have any chally I would take an RT over an srt8.. unless i wanted to be a collector.. then i might take an srt8.. for performance, rt.. srt8s are just too heavy. I always thought that and i guess the guys over at motortrend agree.. honestly superbee srt8 driver.. your 12.8 with whatever 1800 DA with your mods is very unimpressive.. I think an RT with similiar money put into it would be dominating you (including price for car) your run calculates down to 12.5@110? I dont think it takes too much for an RT to get down there..im at a DA corrected 12.8@108 and im not even close to spending as much as a base msrp of an srt8 chally or charger.. GT500s you could also are overpriced for performance.. used is the only way id buy one.. not worth the nearly 50k for it.. S/C you base GT and be faster for cheaper..

Mine was limited as well, right there at 130 something.

MustangCat, about the S197 being drag limited at 135, not hardly. I've already had my needle buried more than once, so whatever comes after 145 mph is how fast I've had it. The S197 has more drag than a lot of other cars, but it's not as bad as some.
