I'd say a good set of Mickey Thompson ETs would be just as good as a slick for your power level, and like JD said, you'd be able to legally drive with them to the track.

You can swap on the "track" tires and drive to the track, that way your not switching rim's and tires at the track and having to have someone watch the street tires/rims.

Still, I'd think a full out slick would be over kill, but if you want to it's your car.
