So my buddy got his 01 cobra back tonight from the local speed shop and he called me up to go for a ride. It was just supposed to a quick cruise so I didn't bring a camera or anything and I'm kind of pissed about it. He just bought it bone stock a few weeks ago and brought it to get a full exhaust with LTs, an o/r x pipe, and some borlas, 4.30 gears, intake, a 125 shot, and a plug in tuner with a custom tune for the spray. He comes to get me a we go on the highway just so he can show me the improvements. The highway is almost empty to he makes a few 100+ mph blasts w/o the spray after activating the system and heating the bottle he shows me what a WOT 3rd gear pull with a 125 shot feels like. We went from 60 to 130 so fast it scared the hell out of me. After cruising for a little more we hear something loud coming up quick, as I turn to see it's a bright red LS1 vette with an older guy and his lady riding with him. I'm not too sure about the mods but it was pretty loud so I'm assuming at least a cat back and a mid pipe, maybe even headers. After getting right next to us he motions for us to go so my buddy gives it three honks and we go. For the first pull he didn't spray and he got a 1-1.5 car jump on the guy and held it until he shut it down at about 120. The second run he decided to use the spray. He got a little over a car jump on the guy again and hit the spray. Honestly when I looked back the vette was at least 6-7 cars back and we were still pulling hard when he shut it down. I honestly think that if he would have kept going to 120-130 we would have lost him. I'll try to get some pics of the car in the next few days but I've got work so we'll see how it goes. Tonight really makes me want a 4v so bad.

That's awesome!!! Mine pulls like crazy with 3.90's and an extra 220 ft lbs. of torque. I can only imagine how hard his must pull with 4.30's and the huge torque that nitrous creates.

At first he told me he was going with 3.73s, the 4.10s and the guys at the shop finally convinced him to go big or go home with the 4.30s. The thing is a ****ing beast on the spray.

He let off as he was about to shift when we were racing the vette, but when he was just showing me he did a little. I told him he should watch that, but I think he was just doing it because he just got the car back.

Yea but I could pick up a great condition Mach or Cobra, do it just like my friend, bolt ons and spray. The car would be so much faster and about half the cost.
