Default 02 GT v Infiniti G35

Out with friends to grab some food.. on our way there (3 people in car total), I see a red Infiniti G35 get right on me in my rear view mirror. He follows me through traffic for quite a bit of ways, and when it finally opens up he proceeds to do a flyby. At that point, I didn't hear a turbo or anything, I was pretty sure I would be able to at least keep up. His mods from just looking at the car were wider rims/tires, definitely lowered, and at least catback (plus I believe I heard possibly an intake whistling on the flyby. Of course he had tinted windows and stickers galore. I finally get a redlight with open lanes on either side of me, but he goes into the left turn lane. However, seeing that there's open lanes.. he wants a shot at me. His girlfriend gets out her cellphone to video tape this one! haha... from a dig, I grab the launch, immediately putting a car on him, and he could never close it. Overall, the race was about 0-70mph, and by the end I had about 2.5 cars on him. I was pretty happy with the result knowing he was modded and the fact that I had one more person in my car than he did in his. He was actually a nice guy though, giving me a nod and a thumbs up after the race. My performance mods are BBK LTs, MAC 3" catback, SCT Tune, Steeda Tri-Ax, and 285/35/18s out back.

what mods did he have besides the go-fast sticker mod?

There's not much you can do with an infinity/350Z engine that's worth while unless you drop a couple of G's on them.

Nice kill OP. Can't get mad at those G35s though. For the price it's a nice luxury car with some pep in it. Now why he would put a bunch of stickers on it just confuses me.

I would say from the cars that I've raced, the G35/350Z are the funnest, because you're always 95% sure you will win and MOST, not all, owners are extremely cocky. They dont respond very well to bolt-ons and tuning, from what i've heard, its a biatch. Now the 07+ HR motors and the new 3.7s I would be cautious with. Good kill, OP.

I wouldn't call them slow, they're just not fast

Awesome cars though, I would love to sport one as a daily driver

haha.. yeah all I could tell by looking at it and seeing it was that it was lowered, it had wide tires, catback, and an intake.

Thanks for the compliments guys.. I was pretty happy with the results. I didn't know those engines didn't respond too well to smaller mods. I was scared because supposedly my cousin's buddy has a G35 with twin turbos pumping out rwhp in the 500s.. that's something I don't wanna run into.. yet =)
