Doesn't sound right to me...but anything can happen on the street.

My car in the video is just heads/cam/75 shot. Factory intake/TB. I still made 457rwhp on motor alone. My old car made 400'ish rwhp with just a cam swap on factory heads/intake, then 500.3 rwhp on a 100hp dry shot with factory fuel system. Just a FYI for anyone with questions.

I'm willing to bet he sprayed off the line and all that torque combined with his street tires made for a lovely smoke show even shifting into 3rd

I'm confused, looking at the video, it appears you got a fender on him through first and then he starts coming around. If you stop the video 4 seconds into the run he is already ahead of you. It also looks like he is on the brakes way before you are.

That's what I saw as well. Got a car length on the launch and then for a lack of better words... got smoked very quickly.

I have no idea what he makes, I just know what he told me. He said he did cams/heads and the shot. Oh and welded in a set of aftermarket mufflers onto the stock catback, other than that his exhaust is stock. I don't know too much about LS1s other than they are solid motors.

I had a fender on him from the launch because I caught him sleeping on the line. You can see from the vid I didn't jump on him just had a better reaction time. I held a car until I started to spin, but I don't doubt he was going to pull on me regardless if I spun or not. He hit the brakes after he was already a few cars ahead of me when I just let it go.

And he said he was shooting, but I can't tell you for sure. He was talking about racing for money when I get my car tuned and put the MTs on it so he might just be trying to set me up..who knows. Either way, if a money race does happen I think it will be a good one, hopefully with a better video to go along with it.

I'd be careful. My car is a heads/cam/nitrous setup and runs 10's @ 130+. Sounds pretty obvious that he's just wanting to take your money. At the very worst that car should still trap 125mph fairly easily.

EDIT: my lazy ass finally watched the video. It looked like he was pulling hard on you, really hard. Must be a bad angle if you're still saying you were ahead. And yes, it does look just like my car.

After I spun, yes he pulled very hard. Oh, after watchin the vid on your sig I'm sure he wasn't spraying. If a heads/cam/ns20 C5 can go that fast in the 1/4 there is absolutely no way he was spraying. But, like I said it will be a good race if it ever happens. I was trapping at 118 before and I figure to be trapping atleast 125 when I get my car tuned for what it has now. I can outlaunch the crap out of him so I think I will have a pretty good chance.

Just wondering why you think you'll pick up 7 mph on the big end with a dyno tune? If all you're getting is a tune you might see an extra 2 mph.
