Suprised by a newer 300C...
so coming onto a local 2 lane road off of a country road a maroon 5.7L 300C followed me closely as we both turn onto the road, I decide what the hell and floor it all the way to 80MPH and then let off... by the time I hit 80MPH he must have answered me because he was only about 4-5 cars back
so anyways I let off back to the speed limit and he comes floating up at a normal pace.... he get's about a half a car in front of me and then floors it and I have to answer back this time
he pulls to about a car lead, holds it for a second and then I start steadily putting lengths on him... I would say only about 2 car lengths 55-120MPH
one thing I have noticed about these dodges... the (6.1L's and the 5.7L's) is they really like to get up and go from a roll off of their initial gear selection but once they go to shift they lose all their momentum slowly but surely... the semi modded charger R/T I ran into had the same loft to it from a 40-50MPH roll, it just felt like forever before his gear ran out so I could start to pass him lol
all in all I was pretty impressed with the 4 door family sedan... one of the cooler guys I found driving a dodge too, gave me a nod and a thumbs up and I returned... at the next light I complimented him that it was pretty quick for a 4 door sedan and that I was impressed... he obliged "yeah, not quick enough apparently" XD

Good run, Morbid. I know exactly what you're talking about. I had the same experience the other day against a newer Charger. He held it for a second, then I was able to pull some. They are pretty quick from a roll. I'm impressed by them.

2006 pontiac GTO
CAI, tune, drag radials
best of 12.7 @ 106MPH
getting rid of it in a week or so though so getting my last fun with her before I get downgraded to my lincoln LS for winter.... I think I have answered a calling for motorcycles and will buy a starter POS next summer... then the following summer get a M109R and try not to kill myslef with a 600lbs 11 second cruiser :-/
the way I look at it I think a bike would be good for me... because if I crash i don't have to worry about fixing it or buying a new one XD

Don't get a M109. I worked for one of MD/VA/DC's biggest Suzuki shops and believe me our service department had more M109's at one time then all other crusiers together. Get a Yamaha. I am 28 and this is the first year that I have not had a motorcycle since I was 15. You will miss your car more then a bike. I tried to go a year with out a quick car and could not go a month of just drive my Yukon.
Your times are right with my magnum with the same mods, but I only ran it on stock tires. SRT8 had big MPH though.
