Mazdaspeed 3 vs. Vortech 04 GT Video

Im hoping for low 1.6s.... but honestly, I have no idea how its gonna do as far as 60 foot goes....hopefully atleast 1.7s
The car is weighing in @ 3100 lbs...possibly closer to 3050 in drag trim so its light
Its auto with a 3800 stall, on skinnies, and eventually 26 inch slicks, locking shortly after the 1-2 shift.
Im expecting 118-120 mph trap speeds
The car hasnt been run with anything near this setup
But Im probably looking at something like Mid 11s.

sorry, but with 370hp you aren't going to run low 11's. If you haven't ran it yet id be willing to bet you are gonna run a 12.5-13.0

\apparently dont understand the concept of power to weight ratio or realize that my car is a stalled auto and will put a lot less power down on the dyno than a manual car.
A full bolt on manual car with 11-12 psi intercooled could make up to 450rwhp for comparison.....

Ill pull that on street tires....
I dont know why you say this anyway since your car is running a somewhat similar setup, and your saying your gonna pull high 11s....
so forget about dyno numbers
Im running your setup with 1 more pound of boost, long tube headers, probably a good bit of weight differance, and the biggest factor is the stalled Auto really.
If you took your car added headers, a pound of boost, and dropped 100-200 lbs you could run mid 11s too.
Are you another one of those guys who thinks auto cars are slower than manual cars or something?

no, i don't think auto's are slower than manuals. I believe its opposite when at the strip. Wasn't tryin to be a d!ck, but i just didn't think you'd go low 11's. I did overlook the fact you did some weight reduction, but i just didn't think it'd go low 11's on street tires. I might be wrong though...who knows

lol, yea...the autos are generally a bit faster once the car starts making some power, especially with boost.
Im guessing somewhere like mid 11s on slicks though, definately not on street tires.
I think I may see low 11s with some cool air at cecil, cars usually run good here.

i got into a street race once with this ****ty lookin camaro that had a carbed ls1 with an auto in it and i pulled him on the street by about 4-5 cars and when we hit the track, he went 11.8 and i went 12.1 with a 2.0 60' and he had a 1.7 or a 1.6....i like autos, but im keeping the 5speed as long as i can. Nothing better than tryin to slam the gears and make the car fast

Stalled autos dont particularly do that well from a roll ....besides, if your car was a stalled auto it would have the power to go faster than 11.8
Im sure your car overpowers his but his is just set up right for the track
