The S197 specs? Near Impossible to find...GT500 is the closest I can get. They said it was slightly increased from the GT by the wider tires and minor changes so I would guess .37 for a Mustang GT.
GT500 - .38 x ?? frontal = ??
I can't believe I searched for over an hour and can't find this information. Why wouldn't Ford publish it? Anyone know the missing pieces here?
What the hell, nothing? U would think that as popular as the Mustang is, that there would be an overwhelming amount of info, including aerodynamics. I do know it sucks for the S197. I have read in a couple places where people have installed cowl and/or Slaeen vented hoods, and it has resulted in the hood not acting crazy. Supposedly, the air coming thru the grill builds pressure in the engine bay, causing the hood to buck.

good runs man! sounds like you did pretty good, better than i did lol what are your next mods gonna be?
I think you did pretty good Boduke. I have a definite advantage over you with the 3v. My next mods are going to be an aluminum DS and some NSR cams. I'd rather skip the B.S. and go with a blower, but I just can't afford to part with that much $$$.

Exactly, and when you look at it that way it says a lot for Ford. A tune and some 4.10s pretty much closed that cubic inch/HP/tq gap, although the GTO does have some extra weight to haul around, its still impressive imo.

Nice runs stone. I ran one when i had intake/tune and offroad H a while back. He beat me 2/3 and i BARELY beat him on the 3rd run, but it was probably driver error. I was going to do longtubes/cams also, but i decided to either F/I my GT or a GT500.

Those mods along with the new C&L intake manifold and some LT's would make a sick N/A street car... Even better with the blower lol.
Those C&L pieces are worth 15RWHP on stock S197's according to the latest MM&FF I was flipping through.. 30+ RWHP on a car with cams, LT's, and CAI. I would assume it eliminates the need for delete plates in the process, as well.
Good run. Those cars can stroll.
