Default Chevy Monte Carlo smash

So i was at the light, minding my own business with my girl when i hear this monte carlo SS pull up, the older model. I the light was below a hill, so on take off we were gunna go up a decent size hill, nothing huge for about... 100yrds or so. I wasn't sure if he wanted to go, but he was eyein the **** out of my car. so i figured, eh, i'll just sit back and see what this old man's gunna do. Light he green and i hear him smash the gas, the tires let out a little bark, and he's on his way. Me being about 2 seconds behind, there was no way it was gunna happen, so i smashed it! I before we peaked the hell i was a car and a half past him already and still hittin it pretty good, i had to turn off to take the girl home, so didn't get to talk to him, but i expected more out of that 350ci. it sounded pretty good.

i didnt think the older model monte carlo had a 350. I thought it had a v6 but hey, what do i know??? good kill either way

edit:

looked it up

2000-2005 Monte Carlo SS 3.8L L36 V6 200hp 225tq

if it was supercharged then it is still a 3.8 and has 240hp 280tq.

you should have dusted it.

Or was it a older Monte, like 80s? The old SSs had a 350.

Thanks Mac.

They were slow, 83, but like anything there are lots of fast modded ones around. Back in my hometown, the Monte Carlo was probably the most modded thing running around. The aftermarket for the old Chevy 350 is massive (and cheap) as you prolly know.

yeah it was an 80's 350, deffnitly modded, she had a nce rumble, i'm a big chevy fan, but it wasn't anything special. he had a good 2/3 second start on me, and then i had the 3.73's. so.. felt pretty good about it.
