I had no idea the SRT-8 jeeps were that fast.

Wow, that could have been bad for you. Nice run though. Gotta love radar detectors, god knows I love my V1! Saved my goose from getting cooked a few times. Can't wait untill I have money for the lidar jammers.

I only have my suspisions for two reasons.

1) around here, cops seize drug vehicles and the police dept keep them and make them cruisers. There are a couple F-350 4x4 FX4's around here that are lifted and everything. They are police trucks; drug seized. Other vehicles as well, but the trucks are what i remember for sure.

2) cops around here, especially in the white chargers with white police decals, will try to race people and then pull them over for street racing. had a cop try to suck me in like that once, i almost fell for it.

Basically, i'm just saying that i'm not sure if it was an undercover FOR SURE, but if it was, he was one cool mofo for not pulling me over.
I know of a detective in NY who drives around a seized Ls2 Goat....not bad for a work car

Stock SRT-8 Jeep: 6.1 L. Hemi, 425 HP / 420 TQ, 4,600 lb curb weight, runs 0-60 in under 5 sec's and 1/4 mile in the mid-13's, so they are actually a pretty good race for mildly-modded mate-model Mustangs, but on the highway the weight eventually kills the truck... However, there are 2 mod'd SRT-8 Jeeps running every now and then at Cecil County in MD, and they are FAST... both in the low-mid 11 sec range memoray serves correct.

Good runs, not surprised by the results as they have a huge weight and aero disadvantage at speed, making up for the fact that you lack 60hp.

It's not entrapment, just a dick move.
Entrapment is forcing you, by otherwise unreasonable means. Since you 'accepted' the race by your own free will, there is no entrapment. The officer only offered you the chance to break the law, your the one that chose to do so.

This^^^^

Its like a undercover cop asking you for some crack... and you selling it to him. In the OP's case, the cop would be doing the same thing, asking you if you want to race. If you oblige, its your ass.

Yea, but if the cop races you, he should get in trouble too.
