so long story short I met a friend who has a turbo 2.5L 4cyl 944... he bought it completely stock with a boost leak for $8K
so it turns out the boost leak was a faulty hose... so that was an easy fix for less than 20 dollars
so at this point we went out and raced our friends M5 2004 GT with simple bolt on's and some drive train work...
from a 40 roll the little 4cyl fell back a 1/2 car initially... but once @ around 80MH we pulled even and slowly started creeping by
so not to bad for a stock 1985 2.5L turbo
so at this point my friend orders a chip you can order for the car and does nothing else to the car... just replaces the stock chip through the mail, which brings PSI up to around 17PSI on the stock K26... he estimates around 250-270WHP (never dynoed it)
might be getting it back, the friend I sold it to never drove it and says it isn't worth having it around... if it's still around I'll probably buy it back in the spring
knowing my friend I would have thought he would have drove it at least a little bit... but he didn't even muster 2K on the damn thing
it would be nice to have her back though.... if everything goes as planned next spring I will have it back sitting next to the Lincoln and a 2010 harley

I can't see the pictures at work....but I think I have seen it before. Owning that old cheap porsche really makes me want to get a newer nicer one, I love they way they handle and feel on the road. Plus you can't beat the looks of a nicely maintain porsche imo

Interesting result. I ran one back in the day with my first GT....a bone stock 1987. We ran from 65 to 140. I got an initial jump on him and held him off by about two car lengths until the Fox started to run out of oomph and he passed me by at the very top end. My biggest laugh was when I rolled down the window to ask him how fast we were going since my speedo only went to 85 which was just shifting out of third. Of course the fact that there were actually three in the 944 turbo might have had something to do with it. The kid who was jammed in the back quit laughing and pointing when I took and kept the lead.
dr, at the expense of sounding like im being over critical...when you took those pictures, did you not see that you were cutting off the front and back in the first pic, and the lf corner in the third?
at what track did this porsche run 13.09 at 110, and with what tires?
