you really think so? I thought the GTO looked so so. But then again i'm picky. the only american cars i've liked lately (not even considering engine performance) were the 03 mach I, the 05 and 10 mustang gt's/shelbys, the challenger srt8, charger srt8, and the c5 and c6 corvette z06. I'll put the 02 trans am WS6 up there too. everything else from 00-present other than those imo were just blah. I mean I like the engine out of the camaros but I'm not into the looks of it, rather just save for a vette than to settle for a camaro.

I don't particularly care for the look of the GTO. But compared to the new Camaro?

Exactly. I saw people posting last summer about getting into brand new GTs for $21-22K. Cars around here, equivalent, were at least $3.5K more than that.

the msrp on the bottom, cheapest possible no option LS3 camaro is $30745 + 850 destination charge.. for 31,595.. only way to get one for less is if you manage to talk a dealership down on one they ordered or something... which I'm not seeing happening this year, they are selling them just about as fast as they get them.. a lot of dealerships are still charging over MSRP.. to compare the mustang GT starts at $27,995 despite what people say, I think that $3,000 price gap is still competitive. $3000 gets you a vortech, or full bolt-ons + tires.

Not to mention a better looking car with better visibility. Though the back end of the new GT is still another flavor of ugly IMO. Just not as ugly as the Camaro.

What? Why would it be high? I just turned 25 a couple weeks back and my insurance isn't any higher than a 35 year old would be. Bad idea to buy a near $50k car and only have liability on it....really bad idea.
