Had a little fun with a 5.7 GTO

So not really a race, but I was happy because I haven't really had a run in with a muscle car yet. Enjoy the story.

I was at chick fil a (of course, I live there) and walking out to my car and I see a dude go by in a yellow GTO, with black rims. Dunno what if anything was done to it, but I hurried up and jumped in my car cuz I figured I could catch up to him. I did at a light where we were both turning left, and he had a "police interceptor" badge on the back, LOLWTF??!?!?! Ghey.

Anyhow, he turns left (2 turning lanes, i'm right behind him) and as soon as he gets straight he hammers it. I wasn't really expecting him to go but I basically gas it in 2nd, hit 3rd and the car kinda squirms sideways and then he lets off. ??

We get up to the next light, and I can't get beside him (still pissed about it, woulda been a fun run). Anyhow, i'm right behind him still, and as soon as it's green he takes out real slow, so I shift to 2nd, THEN he takes off. I was at a pretty low RPM in 2nd, but I hammer it and we're basically dead even, me slightly reeling him in. As soon as I hit 3rd, he slows down again wtf? Can't even be counted as a race I guess, since we weren't beside each other and I didn't get out of 3rd, but it was still fun

Maybe I'll see him again, it was really close to my house.

I got in front of him and slowed up once we turned, because it was 2 lanes wide open, but he wouldn't even pull up next to me...oh well, I gave him the ole wave before turning off on my road. I really need a good run

I hate when people race like that! It's like the classic ricer flyby...what's the point???lol.

Umm...I didn't do a classic ricer flyby, I let up as soon as I saw he did, and then I slowly rode by him seeing if he'd bite, and why he let off. He didn't bite, so I got in front of him, turned right and then slowed down seeing if he'd pull beside me. He didn't.

I think what he was saying was that the guy in the GTO was acting stupid, like a ricer who does a flyby.

And good almost race lol. What mods do you have to your cobra?

I wasn't implying you lol! I'm talking about the GTO. He wanted to play, but wouldn't do it when you were next to him.

And ya I was hacked, cuz I really don't have any good races against muscle cars, it's annoying.

I have 4.10's, o/r xpipe, flowmaster catbacks, short throw shifter and drop in K&N filter. So basically stock.

I know, that's what I'm afraid of. Hopefully he was smart enough to realize when I pulled in front of him I wasn't a termi. But anyone who will race for 2.45 seconds and into 3rd gear then shut it down may not be that intelligent.

And F YES I LOVE CHICK FIL A NOM NOM NOM

The guy sounds like a total puss...almost as much as you for wearing womens sportswear lol. I'm sure you would have done well with that steep gear/full exhaust 4V. No cakewalk but yours for the taking IMO.

Lol but ya, I think honestly I coulda taken him. I was slowly starting to pull, but really it's hard to judge cuz it didn't last that long and I was spinning for part of it
