Default S197 vs Caliber SRT-4

Well I was on my way home from work... and I noticed what looked like a Mach 1. I tried to get him to bite, which finally he did... but he punched when I wasn't ready so he got a rather large jump on me. When I caught up he wouldn't go again... so I was kind of dissappointed... but then I realized that some other car had come up behind me rather quickly... I got over so he could get next to me... and it was a Caliber SRT-4... looked like it had a body kit on it, and it had a rather loud BOV.

Well, I got him to slow down to about 60 and I dropped it into second and then he punched it... he go his rear bumper up to my front bumper and I slowly started pulling him back in. By time I got up to around 100 I was finally passing him. It did a lot better than I expected. Would have liked to know what exactly he had tho. I couldn't hear his exhaust over mine... so maybe all he had was intake, a bov? I dunno. Not really sure what those cars are capable of either tho. Never really paid them much attention lol

Nice win. Those retched little station wagons are fairly quick from a roll.

I've never actually raced but according to my dyno numbers. I should run 8s on street tires.

IIRC they make more power stock than the neon SRT4s. That right BB?

They do make more power but they weigh 3 to 400 pounds more than a NSRT4. There rated at 285 to the crank Vs. 230 for the neon.

Yea I didn't want to muck up the waters with dyno numbers. I'd have to say that the Neon Was way under rated from the factory and the Caliber was rated pretty close to corectly. Your dead on though the Neon was putting those numbers to the wheels.

I love the C Srt-4's.

They have pulled faster times on the stock turbo housing than many swapped N Srt-4's.
