Default Made my first 10 second pass NA against ?

Well I went to the track yesterday and made made two runs all motor. I ran the same car twice, Which was on 08 red Shelby GT500. My car number is 278 and his was 2836. This was my fastest pass on motor Ive ever made. And this was his fastest as well. He hadnt been out to the track in months. I put down 480rwhp he put down 725rwhp. Final result he ran 10.60 I ran 10.99. Not exactually sure on his setup. My setup is below.

Ill be throwing a 150 shot on my car here in about 2 weeks hope the cobra can can keep up.

Nice work! Thats really moving. The Shelby was trapping up there too. Looks like he was struggling to plant it.

How do you like the trans your running? Has it been good to you so far? I ask because I went through two of them before I got one that held.

Compare their 60' times. The OP was leaving much, much harder, yet the Shelby on the other hand still trapped something like 10 mph higher, and pulled an extra 3 tenths. The power shows in the trap speeds.

I've never actually raced but according to my dyno numbers. I should run 8s on street tires.

Yea he was having traction problems. The best 60' hes had was a 1.54 so I know thats aleast a 10.50 car. He also told me he weighed in at 4200 lbs. Not sure if that was with or without the rollcage he had inside but that might have something to do with him making 725hp and only runing a mid 10 second pass. Idk

Are you in Texas? Nice times btw. You have any pics of the setup? Sounds like a well built car.

There's A LOT more than peak dyno numbers that go into running a fast time.

I'm making nearly 200rwhp less than that GT500 and run similar times. Weight has the most to do with it, in this case, as I'm sure both cars have great power curves. A lot of cars make great power, but they only do for a short span. Say they make peak power, let's say 600rwhp, between 7500-7800 rpm. The curve doesn't start peaking til 6500. That car would struggle against a 450rwhp car making 450rwhp from 4-7k rpm.

Does that even make sense?....

Very impressive.

That GT500 with the right tires, and driver, should be running 10.40's or 10.50's and trapping close to 136-139. That car needs a diet.

With a 150 shot, without him launching better, and losing some weight, you will beat him. It would be a lot more interesting if he upgraded certain things, and knocked some weight off.

Surely he would, no matter how he launches. He runs faster than my car does on the 75 shot and he's on motor alone. If I went with a 100 shot I think I could run 10.5's with the new 90/90 setup. Surely this guy could easily knock a .5 second off his ET on a 150 hit. Hell, I knocked a .5 second off several 1/8 mile runs in my old car on a 100 hit.
