I never said they don't go fast, just that their primary design intention wasn't to go as fast as they could with the power they have. Just compare them to most any other sports car with similar power levels. If their primary design intent was to be fast, they wouldn't weigh what they do...they were designed to be a badass street car with going fast as a close secondary design consideration. They chose to go with more style and comfort over performance. Everything is a trade-off in automotive design...that's why supercars like the Enzo have no A/C, hand crank windows, plastic floor mats etc...go fast first, everything else second.

Who cares how much horsepower it has, all that matters is how fast it goes!
13.20's with 2.25-2.30 60's, 40+ year old suspension sucks!
Best trap 107.11mph, we'll see what the new intake/carb setup does.
12.80 at 110.5mph NHRA DA corrected
Fast is relative. 0-100 I'll take the 500KR. It will eat the abuse of drag strip launches over and over and when something breaks I can swap it out in my garage in 30 minutes.
If I want to abuse something knowing it won't break... and if it DOES break I can fix with cheaply purchased, widely available parts the 500/kr rules.
However vettes are really nice and a much better suspension design (due to cost and niche market) refined car thats hella light and doesn't take much to beat everything on the street, even the world.
The mustang is is a beater (sorry but it is), dragstrip punisher. The corvette is bordering on supercar. Two VERY different cars.

The Grand Sport isn't any faster than the previous Z51 option. It will actually be slower with more rolling mass, less aero, and the exact same amount of power. Once up to speed the base model would be faster.

The GT500KR is nothing more than a HP adjusted GT500 with a body kit, limited VIN stamping, and some more emblems. Looks GREAT, but not worth the Money unless you can afford it and want a collectors item.
