^correct..... wrx's will put down around those #'s with just a turbo back and cobb ap, intake doesnt make a diff. a sti with same mods will put down around 280-290whp. protune sti's with a few extra goodies can put down up to 350whp... my pro tuned sti made 334whp 376wt at 20 psi stock turbo..... some info from my suby days haha

I was just trying to clear up what replica said. I don't want anybody coming across a stage 2 WRX and getting their feelings hurt because they were mis-informed.

A buddy just did a VF39 swap on his wrx. He also got a FMIC and meth injection. With the meth on he throws down something like 350 whp, and 375 wtq. Not to bad out of a wrx IMO, it's the one with the 2.5L.

The use of the term "Stage" is a bit ambiguous. Also depending on year, it changes a little too. If it's the 2.5L then uppipe usually isn't part of stage 2 because it's catless already. Whenever I think WRX I think of the EJ20 so I tend to lowball their dyno numbers.

Regardless, sure. 250whp seems reasonable for a stage 2 WRX. High 13's around 100 MPH. Like a stock S197. Here's a random COBB stage 2 dyno though the mods aren't listed. So it may have a few less things that other people consider stage 2. Nice flat power. 3500 to redline. Looks nice.

The kid who ran the 13.7 at our track did so with an 06 stage 2 wrx. Had a 1.8 60' and I can't remember what his trap speed. The DA was around 4500' I think.

Like you said "stage" can be debatable, but I know cobb considers a car with their accessport and a TBE a "stage 2", but most of my friends into subarus go with what I listed for the EJ20, and for the EJ25, like you said they skip the uppipe, because they are already catless. I was just saying that because someone on the street might claim they have a stage 2 and the person thinks they're only packing 220 whp, but the wrx guy has everything I listed and blows their doors off. IMO its all about what the person driving the car considers a "stage 2".

I could've sworn the WRXs with the "glass trans" was the bug-eye(02-03). I thought the 04s and up had a beefier trans.
