me vs new wrx and maxima

cruisin around tonight and i pulled up to a light when i see these bright blue lights behind me. the guy pulls up next to me and i look over and just asume thats its some sporty lookin honda or somethin...couldnt really see much. anyway light turns green and the guy gets on it a lil bit. i then realize that its a newer wrx hatch so i start to canct up to him. we hit the next light and the guy pulls into the far right lane cuz there was a car in the middle lane so i know hes down to run. light turns green and i take off. i had a pretty decent launch for the street tires that im runnin on but it was no 1.5 60ft launch which is seemed like considering the guy was about 2 cars behind me befor i even shift to 2nd gear. i realize the guy is pretty far back then out of no where he comes flyin up quick. by this time im in 2nd gear at about 2500 rpm and i punch it. i stay even with the guy through 2nd pull just a little bit when i shift to 3rd and by the top of 4th i had bout a car. the new wrs r pretty damn quick in my opinion. i think if i hadnt let off to begin with i would have had 2 or 3 cars on him by the top of 4th

me vs maxima- drivin around again and a newer maxima comes flyin past me. we get to the next light and this cool cat is blastin his cool cat music haha. i take off kinda quick but donw floor it and so does he. right as i short shft into 2nd he stomps on it and so do i. i wind out 2nd and when i grab 3rd im right along side of him...i then realized it was pointless to race this guy so i just kept gettin on and off the gas, staying next to him so he could hear the mighty 256hp that my little 4.6 puts out haha. i usually wouldnt pick on suck a helpless car but he asked for it.

Yea man those new WRXs come stock with the STI turbo now, 265 bhp. Good runs.

Good runs man! And if you had a problem, it's nothing a flip of the switch couldn't cure.

wow i didnt know the came with the sti turbo..thats crazy...they must have alot of potential to. haha yup..if i had any problems the switch would b flipped and bye bye wrx

Those new Maxima's make over 300hp, not sure the exact number. I believe they're fairly heavy though. You're still a good second faster though, even on motor.

nice man.... yea the new wrx's have alot of potential.... same turbo as the sti and believe or not have better gear ratio's with its 5 speed the the sti's 6 speed.... ive seen a maxima 3.5r run 13.5's too.... nice runs

stangdude, I love the color of your car BTW. I'm seriously considering ditching the fox for a new edge and slapping a procharger on that bitch. I should have never got rid of my 02, damn I'm an asshole.

thanks alot man. it looks great when its all cleaned up but its so hard to keep clean cuz the color shows every little piece of dirt! iv thought about getting rid of my car more then once for a fox body and puttin a shot on it just like you but i just dont think i can part with my car haha. and a procharged new edge would deffinatly b fun as well
