Default first time at the track with blower and m/t radials

i went to milan dragway this night. it was packed so i only got three runs. i was wondering if someone could dissect my timeslip.
my 3rd ever run with the vortech and drag radials:
60ft 2.136
330ft 5.741
1/8et 8.615
1/8 mph 86.85
1/4et 13.134
1/4 mph 110.31
if i had another run i would have dropped the pressure did a bigger burnout ect. i had enough tire(275/50/15)but being pumped to 32 psi killed me.

whats the best et you think i could get if i hooked? would i be able to get much more mph?

unfortunately i won't run with the vortech again. i just wanted to run before i took it off. but after i sell it i'll be getting a turbo. but too bad it wasn't a great time.

....damn. I'd guess in the mid 12's with a great launch. Maybe a couple more mph.

Why didn't you drop the psi? Milan has a spot that has an air compressor (it's by the bathrooms near the one concession stand).

you definitely left a lot on the table with a 2.1 60' on DRs, they should have had more like 15-17 lbs in them. with your power a 1.7x 60' should be do-able and good driving a 12.3-12.5 ET should have been reachable.

why not get back out one more time?

A good 1.8 60' and you definatly be good for mid-high 12s.

Your times seem right with your hp and 60ft, but like everyone is saying, you had more in it with a better 60ft.

Milan is tricky sometimes. I was there a month ago, and had a hard time hooking. Other times it's better.

yea a lot of people were having trouble hooking. i might run it again but i don't know if there will be another nice warm day. even if there is it will probably be as packed as it was last night. $25 for 3 runs isn't my cup of tea either. i didn't know there was an air compressor.. i wanted to bring the portable one i had but i couldn't find it in time.

better for it to be a cool day, more power, and I've never seen a track without air. additionally, 25 for 3 runs... that's cheap!

I usually have to do rentals.... and spend 200 for a day of racing 8-10 passes typically after cool down time!

If you are interested a bunch of us are going to Lapeer (weather pending of course) Nov. 7.

Honestly, i probably won't go to Milan again. I went 3 times this year, and only got 2-3 runs in each time over a 4-5 hour period. Plus the track was way off earlier this earlier.

The air compressor is over by the main bathrooms btw.

The slip doesn't look to bad. The sixty is the weak link right now. Get it down to 1.8 and your be sitting right in the 12s.

I've never actually raced but according to my dyno numbers. I should run 8s on street tires.
