Default went to the track today

so i went to the track today and lets just say that im very dissapointed in my times, last yr i ran a 13.2 @ 108 with the vortech v2 and the chip that comes with it, so this yr i figure i should do better since i put uca's, lca's a aluminum drive shaft, a 90mm mas air and a sctx3 supercharger tune. My best run was a 14.1 at 103mph and i couldnt figure out why my car was going so slow, after a couple runs of high 14s i put the car back to stock and put the vortech chip in, and had the same results, so the only difference between the car now would be the mass air and the iat relocated to the discharge side.I think that my cats are no good since i get the egg smell and have more air flow and on the way home when i floored it, it just bogged down,i can feel that it wants to go but its getting held back by something, so im getting a h pipe and will see if that help, a dyno tune will come later. But another thing i noticed is that every car there went slower than i expected, i beat a sti with that 14.1, and there were 2 more and none ran lower than a 13.5, there were 2 ss comaros not the newest ones and a m3 and a couple new vettes and and none went lower than 13.5, guy next to me had a 94 cobra with a sc and on slicks and ran a 13.4 against me, so i dont know if the track was bad but theres def something wrong with my car, i should be in the mid to high 12's easy

I've never actually raced but according to my dyno numbers. I should run 8s on street tires.

You can never have too much power, just not enough traction.

Here in Michigan, Milan Dragway was way off earlier this year. I was running 5 mph faster than usual on every run. When i went again 1 month later, it was back to normal. This apparently does happen on ocassion.

Also, ditch that Vortech tune. I've seen first hand how crappy they truly are compared to a good custom dyno tune.
