Took the ole 150K miles, full weight SN95 out to the 1/8th mile track tonight and made two passes. The last and best run netted me a 9.218 @ 77.42 MPH. It was a blast running door-to-door with a newer QC/SB, 4WD, Cummins haha.
Mods: 3.55's, O/R H, 2.25" Flow 40's, UDP's, 65MM T.B, C&L CAI/76MM MAF. I was also running 12* base timing with a 180* t-stat. Damn these cars hate timing lol. I don't think it pinged the last run after I let it cool down for 30-40 minutes. All in all that run was great: tight race, and new best time.
The Ram had some intake/exhaust work along with a tune. Sweetness!
BTW the DA was 1279, for those interested

^Thanks, I was rather pleased wthh the outcome. The last time I ran it was August '08. Best was a 9.6 @ 74.5 on a 2.2 60'.
These 94/95 computers are rather particular. I was talking to one guy that said adding base timing will cause the computer to pull more timing than youv'e added. Take that for what its worth, though haha. Around here we can get 87, 89, or 93 octane.
As for the car, I plan on keeping it as long as possible. 300 RWHP isn't out of the question, but that will not happen any time soon for sure. I need to get out of school, get a real job, get a house, etc...

I actually ran at Piedmont Dragway (Greensboro/Burlington area.) I had my Friday class canceled, so I rolled home to my parents house, which is about 5 miles from the track. I had been toying with the idea of going since its cooled off, but I didn't want to miss work.
We should hit up Benson for a couple of runs for sure.

Those are real nice times for such minimal mods! Congrats. And yeah our cars ping like no other. When I went last week, I threw in a half o' tank of 93 Premium. Car pinged like crazy going down the track. Took $10 of 104 race gas to cure the problem! Good times though with a very decent trap speed!

Thanks a lot man, I really appreciate it! I considered buying a gallon or two of race gas too lol. I would have to if I wanted to run more than once an hour. 93 octane and 10* base seem to get along fine though.
I wish I had some short tubes and 2.5" Magnaflows instead of these 2.25" Dronemaster and crimp bent tail pipes. A little more exhaust work, more traction, and it could see 8's.. Heck, with more traction it could see 8's.
And thanks 98LS, they do take pride in there track prep for sure. I tried to aviod the water box, then did a quick spin to make sure the 245/45/17 all seasons were dry. I left off idle, slipped the clutch some, and once it was all the way out, I went WOT. Granny shifting 2nd then 3rd.
