Comes the next enstallment of Battle of the Construction Trucks
This time the stage was set at an airport we just finnished paving earlier today, me in my 96 Dodge Ram 1500 (with a 318 MAGNUM) against all on commers
After packing was finnished I marked out the 1/4 mile mark on the runway and lined up against my checker who was driving a 05 Ram 1500 with a 4.7 litre engine in it and a 5-speed
Well it was no comparison, the magnum power was too much for the newer ram to handle, I must have had 5 truck lengths on him by the time I passed the 1/4 mile mark(by 1/4 I mean the lath I pounded into the ground on the side of the runway)
Next up was a 06 Ram 1500 with a Hemi owned by my materials tester.....that went a little worse for my little 318, he took me by a length or two as we blasted through the 1/4
I was actually fairly suprised how well I kept up with the much more powerfull hemi ram
The next challenger was the 06 F-150 Superduty 5.4 gas truck featured in the first clash of the titans, this time equiped with a full box of survey gear, survey stakes and a rotating orange safety light. Again it was no comparision, the magnum unleashed its furry on the unsuspecting ford by at least 2-3 lengths.
Last but not least was the Project Manager from the construction company and his 07 Ford Superduty turbo deisel, well unfortunatly the ford was just too much for my old beater and I lost in dramatic fashion by a length or two
All in all I am happy with my old beater, I just wish I had the mustang out to have some real fun. You don't get the opertunity to **** around on a freshly paved airport very often
I hope you all enjoyed my story of awesomeness
Take care

Lol at 99. BITCH!
Really though, a vid of that sh!t would of been epic!
Awesome story man, sounds like you work with some cool guys. Seriously though, the old beater sounds like its holding up pretty well. I would've figured the newer Rams would've walked you pretty good. All that gear didn't do them any favors.
