Any advice? I've heard lower the rear tire pressure and that it will hurt not help on street tires. I have Fuzion Hri's s and they've seen better days so that won't help with my traction. I've also heard leave on the 3rd yellow? I know my cars slow just looking to get a baseline 1/4 number before any more serious stuff, as of now just cai, exhaust, tune, suspension.

I would leave he tire pressure alone, just make sure they are properly inflated. You would be better off changing the fuel filter if it hasn't been done in the last 15K miles. Dont worry about your reaction time, it doesn't effect your E.T.
Relax and have fun. Then post the results.

I will post back. Since its late in the season and colder, how many runs do you guys think I'll be able to get in, in 2 hours? New England Dragway by the way. I changed it 5k ago. Thanks man.
What 94 said. Screw the tree, just take your time and get the launch right. Sit at the light for 4 days if you need to.
How many runs... eh, if its not crowded then hot lap the hell out of it. Unless you're there for 6-8 hours, your car isn't going to cool down enough to make a difference. Good luck dude!

You wont need a real big smoky burn out on street tires. Spin them enough to get the crap off of them and move to the line. Try watching a few other guys run just to get an idea where the staging beams are. Leaving on the third yellow is good if your racing the guy next to you. If your shooting for the best slip the what the guys said above is better advice. Dont forget to take a helmet in the off chance you break 14s.

I've never actually raced but according to my dyno numbers. I should run 8s on street tires.
Yeah I know I won't be breaking into the 14's with my mods. Hoping for anywhere from low 16's to 15's. I still don't have an lsd though so I don't even know if a burnout is worth it. Any tools or thing you guys suggest I bring with me just incase? Yeah I'm just worried about my best time not about racing the guy next to me lol. So if I have a slow reaction time the time won't start until I start correct? And I just checked the weather, theres a chance it might rain around 4 but the open night is 6-10. It will still be open if it stops right? It's supposed to be low 40's and cloudy all night.

Just got back, it was alot of fun. I don't know about addictted but I definetly cant wait to do it again, which sucks cause this was the last open friday. I did about what I expected, a little worse. I got 4 runs in. Heres all the info first to last run....
1st run
r/t-.796
60- 2.50
1/4- 16.373
mph- 85.75
2nd
r/t- .740
60- 2.44
1/4- 16.288
mph- 85.86
3rd
r/t- .634
60- 2.36
1/4- 16.242
mph- 84.82
4th
r/t- .780
60- 2.35
1/4- 16.179
mph- 86.19
I was hoping to break into the 15's and I think with more time I could have. I had half a tank of gas on an 87 economy tune in my diablo, it was probably around 35-45 degrees, just about bald street tires, spare tire and all, didn't take anything out. On the 3rd and 4th runs I did a quick little burnout I figured why not, it seems to have helped my 60 but I'm not sure if that was it because I was stalling it a little higher each time. I started about 1000, ended closer to 1,500. My next mods before I get back to the track are 8.8 swap 4.10's and intake spacer. That should all help my 60 I think since the 4.10s will get me off the line a little quicker and the intake spacer helps with low end torque. Saw some really cool cars though, 2008 GT500, 2010 GT500, Z06, a rwd honda hatch just fun to see stuff like that run. My closest run was against a 93-98 Mustang GT, don't know what it had, all sorts of stickers in the windows, trickflow, msd, and junk so idk. It was my first run so I wasn't really watching him but if I had to guess he beat me by 3-4 car lengths but idk. Looking for some advice, criticism or anything. Thanks guys.

Sounds good. Your 60' decreased as the night went on, thats always a plus. Just keep messing with it 'til you find what works best. Try to get that 60' down to < 2.2, load the best tune youv'e got, and have some more fun.
