I ran quicker than that in my stock A4 '98 TA in north carolina.
I would have pegged the Mach to be a bottom 13 second car, but those traps surely don't say that.
If it was an auto, didn't it have the L99?
FIXED. Like it says you run in NC I run in FL track times are like dyno numbers, they all differ. This isn't really what a track is supposed to be, it was an old landing strip which was given side barriers and a timing system, couple that with ****ty weather (80+ degrees and 80+humidity), street tires and a track tech who sprays VHT in the starting line like a fire fighter on a blazing building, you end up with a track in which people with slicks barely hook, he might as well had spray water. Unless you have full suspension and slicks you wont see anything below a 1.9, in some tracks you can do that with worn goodyears, but not here.

....I foresee a squeaky belt in my future.....
Ran one at the track today hes actually my friend he couldn't break into the 8's in the 1/8th. I ran 8.5-8.7 the whole day... he was running 9.05 which was his best... he had terrible 60 foot each time since this was his first time at a track ever....

Was it an auto too? If it was, what a bummer to spend that kind of money on a car that seems to have quickly becomed a legend and then run that. Well at least they look badass.

Agreed they do look good except not too fond of the interior... and yes it was a auto... he can barely get it to chirp hammering the gas from a stop. I dont know about the S197 stangs with the auto everyone I know has a stick. His 60ft times were around 2.2 my best was a 1.9 I think that has a little to do with the new 4.10's.. It was bracket racing so I really want to find out what mine will do in the quarter now..

God knows NC doesn't get humid and hot.....I ran those times nearing the fall of the year. Weather was at least in the lower 80's. I'm sure the humidity wasn't as bad though. Still....a stock f-body auto running quicker than you guys....fail.
