I still say Dark has a high 12 car on a perfect run, and a consistent 12.7 car on DRs. Machs really don't hook worth a dayum with 4.10s, street tires, and the stock suspension. Even if you manage a 1.9 60', you're still going to spin 2nd and 3rd some. His track conditions sound less than favorable. Thats the way it goes sometimes.

About the tech over spraying VHT, I hate when they do that crap. When I see them flooding the start line with that shat, I don't even attempt to make a good pass, I just drive thru..

I didn't say it didn't but I'm sure tracks up north are better maintained and prepped and are not managed by complete idiots that have no car knowledge whatsoever. I'm not here to start a pissing match with you but I've ran enough LT1/LS1 cars to know that in THESE tracks you ain't gonna be making no 8 second passes on a stock camaro. Bolt on LT1/LS1 cars here run low 9- high 8s and LS2 GTOs run mid-low 9s stock. If you dont like the bolt on camaro ss got beat by a 5 year old mach then thats another story.

It must be the DA that's slowing them down.

I've never actually raced but according to my dyno numbers. I should run 8s on street tires.

Thanks Stone, I know the car is capable of running 12s with a sub 2.0 60ft but not when you have to slip the clutch just above idle and lay into it slowly, lets not even talk about 2nd gear, its just useless, the car spins all of it until just before redline. I want to get some drag radials and LCAs but I have to wait on a deal I have to get an eaton swap, hopefully it doesn't fall through.

I'm sure its not to bad, I think track prep is the biggest issue. Palm Beach International Raceway (used to be Moroso Motorsports Park) is like 2 hours north of me, that track used to be badass under the old management. When it was bought by the new people it was completely redone but these guys are in the business of making money now and dont give a s**t about anything else, people running 12s with no helmets, 10s with no cage, morons dragging water all the way down the track, its a mess. Its still the best track down here but the drive is a pain in the butt.

I'm just busting your balls. Track prep, even with your "decent" short times on those runs, shouldn't have had THAT large an effect on these weak trap speeds from both of you.

PM Mishri, he'll have you in the 11's.

See, now I'm busting his balls.

Just judging from those who I know or have seen run at this track, 2 bolt on auto machs have ran 8.5x @ 81-82, me at 83 and another 5 spd at 84mph, the last one still had stock wheels on with neither of us powershifting. Also IMO, spinning lightly can cause your trap to be higher but excessively can lower it.

LS3 cars got 3.45 gears, L99 cars got 3.25 gears.

IDK why the auto has the higher gears. Isn't it a 6spd auto? With less power than the LS3 and 6 gears they should have at least gave it some lower gears.
