Default KB GT v Fox w/ 150 shot

I was driving home from work when I see this fox with tons of exterior mods, big tires (315s), and nice loud exhaust. I have yet to race another Mustang, so I really wanted to see how my KB GT would stack up. I follow him for a while, he sees me and revs etc. We line up at a light... real nice guy, introduced himself and talked about his mods (this is a 2 minute light). He proceeds to tell me that he's running a 150 shot, then he purges. The light turns green: he gets a better launch (his rear tires are 315s, mine are 275s) and puts about a half a car on me in first... I slam her into second gear, and by the top of second we're even... and when I get her in 3rd I have about a car length on him. At that point, we shut down. We line up again, but I fudge the launch and can't even grab traction in 2nd gear.

Anyways, I was elated that my car could take a sprayed fox! It was a hatch, not a notch, but I still was expecting to lose. Best race I've had yet!

Cliffs:
Fox w/ 150 shot of nitrous at a light. I beat him by a car length by 3rd gear. We line up again, I mess up the launch and can't get traction.

Well I'm running a 125 shot and my car will probably only trap 110-112 on the spray so your car should be ahead of mine too. Sounds like you had some fun, good run.

yeah I have yet to run a full 1/4 mile.. I'm not sure what I'd trap. Maybe 118ish? Not sure!

Nice kill! I'm sure this is in your other thread but what were your dyno numbers?

You need to get to the track to see what you run with KB lol

Some hp and tq numbers would go along way with guessing your trap.

blargh.

tune it at the track, and race it at the track.

who gives a falk what it will do on the dyno.

Sounds like your car is making some good power to beat a fox on a 150shot. A H/C/I fox with a 150 shot should be putting down around 420hp and 500ftlb's of torque.

able to run 11's for sure, so you must be making some serious power, or it was a stock head/c/i or something fox.
