Roll racing is ****ing gay. The only real street racing i've seen has been 1/4 mile and i've never seen a drag strip where you start off in a roll. If they can't get the power they have to hook up then they need to learn to get sticky tires or the power is worthless.

I used to be the same way, but quickly realized there are too many factors when racing someone from a dig, especially if it's on the streets. Granted I do most of my racing at the track, having a FWD car with over 300whp on street tires, I spin thru 1st and 2nd, and have done lost the race. Yeah it's my fault, but I plan on slicks next year, just have to downgrade brakes because I have Brembos now and slicks wont fit over them. You race someone from a 40 roll or 60 roll or almost any roll you take out pretty much all driver error and the fact that both cars wont spin that much if at all. I have soo much torque steer from a 40 roll still and still spin alittle, but not as much as if I race from a dig. I raced a bolt on, cammed, tuned EVO awhile back from a 40 roll and up to 120 was side by side with him. Now everyone knows from a dig I would have been slaughtered because of his AWD advantage. Trust me, if you had traction problems, torque steer, wheel hop or any of those problems, you would hate dig racing. I for one dont car which one I race from, I just know I'm gonna have to concentrate more on a launch if it's from a dig.

You both have your weakness in comparison, You beat him from a dig and he would probably beat you from a roll. If you wanted to race him you should of had one of each. Like 3V said, I can beat a lot of cars from a roll that would eat me from a dig.

How are the LSJ brakes? I've heard they are pretty good, and not far off from Brembos. I really wanna run some slicks next year, just dont wanna sacrifice getting rid of my Brembos for ****tier brakes.

I would still have the same mindset if i had a 10 second car. My buddy with a solid low 11 second camaro feels the same way. I don't see the problem. If you want a roll go to the bakery.

Yeah, there fine, esp with upgraded pads/rotors/lines. If your more into the strip than autoX you won't notice a diff. Want to meet half way for a trade? lol

Seriously as mentioned a dig is more about suspension/tire set-up/driver than which car is actually faster esp in comparison with a fwd. I would bet 85% of the street races even on this forum are from a roll. It's just more practical. Yeah, most people perfer one over the other though there not so set on this or nothing. I understand though my old GT had no top end and a dig was it's strong point, though who cares if you lose to a faster car.

Just curious if you've been to the track whats your ET/Trap?

dig brings in all components of the car instead of a roll which focuses on the engine/transmission/weight. That's why i rather a dig over a roll

well get into something with REAL power, and then lets see if your singing the same tune.

If you want to do a dig, go to the track.
