It has the potential for 12's as it sits.

I'm not going back down the strip until I have slicks. My local 1/8 mile track never preps and it really sucks. I'm hoping with slicks I can run 12.5 or better. But 12.5 is what I'm shooting for.

You mentioned in the other thread your brothers SRT is now full bolt-on. I see your "mildy" modded.. Which car is the fastest?

"stock turbo" turbo cobalt SS = cobalt SS with full bolt on's, slicks with suspension and drivetrain mods... running a stock turbo with cooling mods set to max PSI... and 11.9 is a best with average in the car being low-mid 12's

this is the same devious BS as the "cam only" guys xD

Wait til they stuff a new compressor wheel in the stock turbo housing if you really want some interesting 11 second stock turbo stories.

I've never actually raced but according to my dyno numbers. I should run 8s on street tires.

After I got the catless DP put on, and he got his DSP tuner, we ran from a 60 to 120 and I put about a car or so on him. Not sure if it will make a difference, but I was throwing 8 codes at the time, but I got that all fixed now. I wanna run from 40, where the car is at it's best, but the stock Conti's will not hold the power well.

You gotta be a f*cking retard to believe, or to think I would say the fastest stock SS/TC went 11.9. If I meant it like that I would have said, "the fastest bone stock SS/TC went 11.9", but that isnt what I said. The average "bone stock" SS/TC is in the high 13 second range, with 2 guys going 13.5-13.6 stock, on stock tires. 12's are easily obtainable with a good driver, a great prepped track and a tune.

says the guy that says not to hate... you clearly said "the fastest stock turbo cobalt SS went 11.9"... obviously you meant "stock turbo" but it could be taken either way.... and partly because setting records on "MODIFIED stock" equipment is just plain dumb.... race your car, I'm not going to hold my garbage disposal on a pedestal because it can grind 50 fetuses on the stock blades alright? lol

YOU run 12's on street tires... get back to us

also... not that it matters but, what the car can do as a best flawless run on a MODIFIED stock turbo is pretty useless IMO... it just reminds me of Guiness world records grabbing at useless feats that nobody else would attempt to make a record... like "OH JEEZE HOW MANY STRAWS IN MY MOUTH?!?! THIS MANY!!! LOLOL"

xD

if someone wants to go 11's in a SS/TC they are going to swap out the stock turbo and not bother with useless records... cheaper in the long run, and that's all that matters

I believe ZZP accomplished 11's on the stock turbo with like 2k in mods, so that's pretty cheap, and just goes to show the car has potential. They dyno'd a Borg Warner S256 a couple weeks ago and made 500whp with that setup, just havent been to the track yet. Why do I have to run 12's to prove a point? It's already been proven by many people, so that's pointless. There is a guy with the same mods I have with slicks who went 12.2 @ 114mph, and these were 17" motorcycle slicks. You're the same ol' dickhead Morbid that I remember it seems.
