No, you misunderstood what I said about the 150 shot. I said I wouldn't need it to LOSE to one, not to BEAT one. I lost the race, and at the beginning you asked if I had a 150 shot, and I said I don't need that to lose a race... In other words... I can lose a race just fine without it... whatever anyway... I'm well aware that if the Z06 was giving it his all, the results would have been different. It was pretty obvious when I pulled that he wasn't in his power, so probably not in the gear he needs to get the most out of his engine. He clearly has more power because he quickly stopped my pull and started pulling himself. I even said in my VERY FIRST, and Unedited post that he was probably too lazy to downshift. And then I jokingly implied my 2nd gear was amazing.
Don't take what I say out of context. I know that it would take a lot of power to beat one. It would take full bolts ons and cams w/an awesome tune just to stay close to one that is really trying.
That's cool man, as long as you explain yourself.
It seemed to me you were trying to justify he barely won.
All good man.

I was sitting here trying to figure if it would take a 150 shot for a 4.10 geared S197 to handle one, considering the fact that gears more or less remove SOME of the weight variable and power difference when compared to a lighter, more powerful car with higher gears. But, with the Z having 3.42s, I'm pretty sure it would take close to/at least a 150 shot to be able to pull one from a roll. Those things make 100 horse more, and much more tq, with a sizable weight advantage. I've never seen one go from a dig, but I would think they would be like any other Vette and leave pretty hard. They have a traction advantage with the trans sitting in the rear. Anyway, it would take a decent size shot to pull one. Good run Acartz. I know you didn't win, but it seems like you realize that he must have started in the wrong gear or whatever. At least you got to have some fun.

I think if you added a 150 shot to your car you would be able handle one of the earlier 385hp ones fairly easily(unless they under rated those by some rediculous amount as well) The 405 would be neck and neck, with you maybe inching. If what BB said was true you need 25hp for every 100 pounds difference... so you'd be sitting at around 450-460whp and a retarded amount of torque due to the nitrous, and the vette would sit at around 350-360hp. You'd make up a 400lb difference.

Maybe the Z06 wasnt hooking up right away which caused him to fall back. I would think he would walk ya pretty good, but who really knows you were there not any of us...good race.
