Default C6 vs Camaro SS

I got a few runs with a new camaro on the way home from work last night. They are pretty quick off the line, he jumped 3/4 of a car on me and I didnt pass him until 75-80. From a 80 mph roll I pulled pretty hard but it still held it's own. I'd like to go test drive one. They are nice looking cars.

I think they look too much like a concept car. That and I wouldnt ever own a Camaro, LOL. I wanna race one in my Cobalt though, LOL.

That's cool! Being so heavy it would probably take some serious upgrades to keep up with you. Did it sound stock?

Ya...it was bone stock except for black rims and some exhaust. It looked sick. I absolutly love the new camaro.

What kind of times are they running with light mods? Like full exhaust and a tune?

Your car should hose a stock Camaro SS. Either the Camaro wasn't stock or you need the driver mod. :-)

A stock Camaro is a 12.9 - 13.2 car...

You should absolutely demolish an stock/lightly modded SS, like bad. He had to of had FULL exhaust, bolt ons, tune, etc, and the way he jumped you off the line, probably DRs unless you were spinning. They are supposed to be low 13 cars, with reports of high 12s, but so far it seems as if they're not too much of a threat, not stock anyway. Not bashing the SS, (its quick) just stating recent kills, personal experiences, and track reports, as of late.

Did you have any traction out of the gate or were you slipping really bad and thats why the camaro jumped out in front of you?

na...I had no traction. I was just running my run flats at the time. 1st gear is useless and 2nd isnt much better. With my stickies it would have been a different story.

Ahh! That makes more sense. Good job running him down like that!
