Don't do that.
IDK why, but the simplicity and monotone nature of this post made me LOL

yes the roads were dry and it was made out of good ol rock filled asphalt plenty of traction even in the cold

lol well it seemed like a good idea at the time at least I'm not doing it on stock suspension. along with being lowered my spring rates are stiffened about 30lbs front and back and a few other suspension mods. Plus i usualy go about 70 around it without even feeling more than a lil corner. it's banked up about 15-20* and the corner it self is only like 35-40* angle

also is anyone else experiencing slowness with the forums or is it just me?

High 9s in the eighth equals low 15s in the quarter. Might want get rid of that rear and get the most out of your mods. Ya might wannna come to the BB school of drag racing also. a 3.0 sixty is bad even for an open diff.

#1 8.8 rear with LSD
#2 3.73/4.10 gears (if you plan on FI I would get 3.73's) to hit your cams powerband harder and stay up in the RPM's through shifts
#3 245/16 rear tires (8.5 inch wide rear wheels)

with these mods you have a mid 14 second car all motor... at least IMO

lol i know it's not bad it's horrible. i've driven other cars at the track and goten 2.0 and under on street tires. the problem is when i get enough power off the line to not bog out it spins, but if i lower the rpms enough to not spin it'll bogg down and still be a bad launch. it was a lot easier before i got my new clutch the old one slipped enough to not bog down horribly but at the same time that slip hurt the overall run too :/

id go 3.73 cause down the road im getting a m112 and i've been trying to hold off with the rear end swap cause i want to put in a upgraded IRS. more prefer going around a corner hauling a$$ but yeah the rear end is definitely holding my car back bad. all that will have to wait till i can either get out of college or if i can somehow find a job.

My mom has an 89 IROC-Z 230HP edition and it's a turd.... Coming off the line it's a demon if you can get traction, but after that it's pretty crappy. The 2.77's in the rear aren't helping it by any means either. That car just doesn't feel like a racer though, it's more of a cruise around town with it's booming flowmaster exhaust.

^^^Agreed. A friend of mine has an auto 92 Firebird vert with the 305 TBI(not TPI) motor. Do you wanna say turd!!!! Add in the high strung gears and 3800lb curb weight and you have a cruiser and not a racer. Funny thing is, my friend still thinks he can keep up with my S/C'ed mustang "for a bit." Obviously 400+hp is equivalent to 170hp in his eyes. Anywho, good kill!

i know there cruisers but it's funny as hell when people think they are the fastest thing on the road (also i by no means think my car is "fast" i just think it's not slow. i want it A LOT faster.)
