I just spanked a New Camero

Big50, anyone who pays attention to the weight of the suspension mods they buy, is actually weighing less than they did stock. Yes, the Saleen blower once out of the box and minus the stock parts taken off the car for the install, is a weight addition of 90lbs. Fact
My original delivery weight on my premium package shaker 500 06' coupe car was 3486lbs, Fact, plus the 90 lbs from the blower plus 15lbs for my shock tower brace and STB. Other than those items, my springs, swaybars, LCR's, Watts link all weigh less than the heavy stock items they replaced. My wheels are 27lbs front and 28lbs rear. So those do add another 6 lbs or so of rotating mass unfortunately.
So my car after subtracting the lighter aftermarket parts from it's 3597 lb weight after adding SC, STB, Shock TB and Wheel addition to the original delivery weight, actually brings the weight to 3560. I forgot to minus the lighter parts originally.
Anyhow, a 3860 lb Camaro with bolt on isn't going to be making more than 460 HP, plus those 20 inch wheels are heavy, so again, to think a well planned out build on an 06" Mustang GT would weigh as much as a Camaro is not realistic. I'd start paying attention to how heavy stock parts are, and the real lighter weighed weight of good more tubular aftermarket parts. Erik

I know the difference between the stock LCAs and aftermarket ones is noticeable (when holding one in each hand), so +1 to the aftermarket suspension parts usually being lighter, excluding add-ons like subframe connectors, STBs, etc.
Nice car OP. Sounds like you were playing cat and mouse with that Camaro. A bolt-on SS stands no chance against you. I didn't realize the Saleen S/Cs could make close to 500 rwhp.

I haven't had a clean run against a new SS yet myself. Everytime I encounter one they just hammer it after letting me notice that they're there. All they seem to want to do is show off.
The 5th gen sixxers......however, seem quite enthusiastic to get their race on. But I just can't bring myself to do it. I don't murder kittens for sport.
