lt1 trans am and me
Well friday night me and my buddy was out talking and he asked if i wanted to race his friend and i said sure what does he drive, he says a 6 speed lt1 trans am with 15in wide and skinnys on drag radials. Me being on 11in wide mickey thompson drag radials i figure i could take him and i tell my buddy sure but only from a dig ill kill him. Well he shows up and we leave and go on a empty road. He warms up his tires and im thinking oh **** hes not playing around so i warm mine up to. We line up and i hold mine at 3000rpm three honks and were off im sideways but out in front about 2 cars and i keep pulling until we hit around 100mph if not more i slow down and let him back over. He tells me he went from second to first thats why i won so i tell him lets do it again so we line back up and we have the same results. What do these cars normally run and what kind of power do they make his mods was some sorta catback a slp lid and that may be all.
my mods are full bolt ons, lakewoods all the way around, subframes, upper and lower control arms full exhaust and drag radials along with a 3200 stall.

With a cat back and lid, it might put it in 270 ish hp range, but who knows. I know stock they're around 250 ish to the tires.
Ideally, it should be a decent race, but normally i think the edge would go to him.

I'm just wondering why he's running DR'ed 15 inch wide rears on a relatively stock car
same can be said for you running DR'ed 11" rears in the back of your car.... how did you even get them to fit without looking all mexicanized... the widest tire I know of that can fit and still look nice is a 345/35 tire (10.5")... and even that requires a lot of grinding and massaging
this is a 345/35/17
that is also a low-mid 10 second mach 1 that traps 130+MPH and supplies over 600RWHP to those tires
yours are 1/2 inch wider and you are seeing south of 250RWHP?
that's insane... pretty much a waste of rubber
