Default Track Vids from today and new PB

I hit up the track today with the S197. I haven't ran it since it was 95 degrees out, so I figured I'd hit a 12 with it since its in the low 50s. The track prep was amazing. I was launching at 4500 RPM and getting off the clutch pretty hard with no spin. I would've been running high 12s and easily cutting 1.8 60s, but the car kept cutting power as soon as I launched. It felt like it was running out of fuel, or running at 1/4 throttle for the better part of 1st gear, then it would come out of it and go WOT. I was running on less than an 1/8th of a tank, so I'm wondering if the fuel was sloshing away from the fuel pump on launch. Any thoughts? My best pass of the day was a 13.0 at 108 mph, 2.0 60'. Here's a vid of it launching. You can see it hooking hard, but then falling on its face, then picking back up again. Weird. I also thought it would be cool do do a in car vid. The 13.0 pass is the bottom link if interested.

BB, that G8 ran a 12.8 at 110 on that run. There were two more G8s there today as well. Get this, the other two were running 12.3-12.4 at 115 mph with nothing more than tunes, long tubes, (catted), cat-back, and a CAI. Both were on street tires and were automatics. I couldn't believe how fast those SOBs were with such minimal mods. I got all up under the hood in one of them trying to find some spray lines, lol.

Man sweet car stoner. With the bogging off the line issue....are you using the 2 step in this car? Not being able to roll the clutch off the line to keep the rpm up will cause bogging in a heartbeat, even with steep gears. 108 is 12.6x-12.8x territory, you'll get er down. Nice passes man. And nice job w/ the cam in car.

Unfortunately there's no 2-step on this one. I'm going to see if the guy who tuned it can hook it up. That 2 step is awesome. Its pretty tough trying to hold the RPM at the right spot with the car taking off, etc. It could've just been bogging from traction, rpm dropping too low, etc, like you said Rygi.
