I think we were parking next to you guys in the pit area.

Tony is a very good tuner and has made great descions regarding tuning with mine and Steve's car. Tony has been tuning steve's car since he had it. Steve's made atleast 400 passes with the stock tranny and motor in the 450 rwhp range. Tony's tunes are damn solid, he doesn't throw any BS at his customers and will even go hang out at the track and try to make a pass in your car just to embarass you.

For anyone here who needs remote tuning you can send me a PM and I'll hook you up with Tony. He's in Florida, but will travel for dyno days and tune over the internet.

Nice! I'll have to look into those tires. How do they ride with the rears being bias ply and the fronts being radials? When do plan on getting the 4.10's?

They ride like crap. They are not to be driven around on the street. Track only.

I'm going to do the ice box first then the gears. Spoke with a master mechanic from Ford today who does side work. He used to own a speed shop here in town. He did the gears that are currently in the car now. I'm going to pay him to do the gears since he did a good job on the ones I have now.

Hopefully by the end of summer I will have both done. I going to try and order the box tomorrow and the intercooler pump monday or tuesday.

I live up on the ridge and wanted to know who you did your dyno. I am getting my stroker motor together and I have a AFM PMS tuner and wondered if they delt with it before.

If your car is the 89 Mustang in your sig, than AED would be your best bet. They are not really up to date with the S197s, but the are Fox Mustang experts. Your best bet would be to give them a call.

I have no idea what an AFM PMS tuner is. Sean at AED probably would.

Here's their number:

Good looking car and nice passes.

I pulled 1.6 short times with nitto's and a nearly stock LS1....granted they were not 18's though. Not sure why everyone downs them.

Im not exactly sure myself either. Several people and Nitto even has said themselves that their drag radials were not as aggressive as some of the others. But if I remember correctly, Nitto redesigned their tires recently to make them more strip oriented and also created a few more tires, hence the NT05 and NT01.

I am impressed with them. In 1st gear with 540 rwhp and 3.55 I can stomp on the gas and the car jumps and goes. No smoke show or major rubber squeeling. I have some older MT 265/40/18 with some good rubber left on them. I should put them on just to see how they hook with the same power.

Maybe I'm just a damn good driver??

No, not the case.
