Unreal (?) 2011 5.0 A6 Pass
According to Bob Cosby (2004 NMRA Factory Stock National Champion) their are reports on another Forum of a couple of unreal 2011 5.0 A6 passes.
Temp Mid-70's (Unsure of Altitude but near sea level) with the Traction Control On (Regular or Sport Mode not specified) with factory tires at 35 psi.
Their were two backup runs within a 1/10 and a mph or so.
12.73@115.59
The ET isnt out of the question but those trap speeds in an A6 (despite Motorweeks 116 mph Convertible M6) are just... well just unbelievable.
Neither I nor Bob are vouching for this report. However last I heard he was trying to chase down the exact specifics. More info if it comes available.
Quote, "Right off the freeway into the staging lanes after tech the first pass i did a 12.85 @ 114.8 Did a little cool down and dropped to 12.80 @115.171 with no cool down right back to the staging lanes it blasted to a 12.73@115.59 i was so surprised for a auto to be this fast and consistent. I did 8 passes all ranging from 12.88 to the 12.73.This is 100% stock with 400 miles on the clock and stock tires at 35psi launching on idle with the traction control on."
Edit: Want to give credit to Riptide who I found had already mentioned this pass on my 12.5 Topic. I "quoted his quote" above. Supposedly videos are to be posted.

#1 - 389 rwhp during the pass at 3700 lb Race Weight.
#2 - 399 rwhp during the pass at 3800 lb Race Weight.
#1 would require a base spoiler delete auto car with 3 gal of fuel and a 150 lb driver.
#2 is likely closer.
With reported conditions the car would have to make at least 380 rwhp SAE to make that trap.

I wouldn't say all that, lol. The GT500s struggle with traction and weight distribution. Give both cars equal traction and I guarantee you the GT500 will butcher this new 5.0
I do hear you though, BB.
I've said it from the beginning, I'm still skeptical of all of this. Not calling BS, not at all, but I'm still skeptical. Just saying.
