Stroker
Pulled alongside a 72 Malibu at a light last night, and I immediately heard the unmistakeable rumble of a potent V8. Asked the driver what it had, and he replied "383 stroker". He asked if I wanted to run, and I gave a thumbs up.
I got a clean launch, he lit up his tires a little. I was ahead by about half a car thru 1st and most of 2nd. I started pulling on him a little at the top of 2nd and in 3rd, and he got out of it.
He turned off before I had a chance to ask what hp it was rated at. But it definitely wasn't a "wild" 383 stroker, or else he would have pulled on me in the higher gears.
