My main thing right now is to get the POS cat-back and resonator replaced with something without 2 inch restrictions. Found out that the OEM resonator has a 2 inch inlet and outlet, so all the aftermarket 3" and 2.5" piping I have added (header and dowpipe) are pretty pointless until I ditch the OEM stuff. After that, I'm debating sinking anymore into the car. I'm going to have to spray, turbo, or run a TVS to get anymore out of it. Then all of the supporting mods like a clutch, motor mounts, tires, etc. I'm just not sure I want to drop that much money into this particular car.

and whats this? you get a 4 banger, and now your making clutch excuses about why you didn't do good in a race?

lol, damn 4 banger owners..........
Haha, I know, I know.....

Seriously, it only slipped going into 2nd and once in 3rd. It holds in 1st gear. So either way, they would've still jumped out on me from a dig. I'm beginning to not like this FWD thing so much.

The G35 did better than I thought it would, pretty nice. So you're thinking of letting the SS go already? Whats next? Just get a vette and be happy already man, LOL!

hmm, see if you can adjust your clutch cable or something of the sort.

if it was the clutch itself, I would think first would slip the worse!

Blueberry was able to get 289whp out of a 2.7 and meth. Nitrous is cheap and will put you over 300whp.

Nah., it's the clutch.

Put it in 5th and punch it from 30mph and see if it wants to slip.

The SS is an alright car, but the longer I drive it the more things I find that I don't like about it. Other than that, I just don't feel "right" driving around in it. As soon as I am able, it's getting sold or traded. I've got a few cars on my mind, but will have to go out and spend some time in each of them before I make up my mind. The problem is, what I want, and what I need are two different things. My wife and I don't plan on staying childless forever, so on that note the TBSS is looking decent, but I really "want" something a little quicker than those... like a new Camaro SS. 5.0, or a 6.0 GTO. If I can swing it, I may just buy an old Cherokee to haul the dogs (and kids when the day comes) around town, camping, hunting, etc... and use the GTO or whatever I end up in as my fix. It'll be a few months before I ditch the Cobalt, but it'll most likely happen.

Surprised the G kept up so well...

Also surprised to see so many driveways on the roads you're racing on... seemed awfully residential to me.

Kept up? That thing handed us our asses from a dig, lol. I got her from a roll, but thats all I could do. Sam got his *** handed to him by her from a dig or roll.

I assure you, we were on a fairly deserted road way out of town. Most of those driveways you saw were going into the surrounding 6500 acre tree farm. They have miles and miles of dirt roads that cross the public highways around there. All of those driveways are gated and locked for the weekend. Sam (the GT driver) works there. I worked there for awhile. 3 of the homes on that stretch of road are vacant. We didn't make it down as far as the others. It was the safest place we could do this without actually going to the track.
