Default 1/8th mile times

ok guys first night i had my new 94 cobra at the track after tradining my eclipse for this well built mustang. 327 stroker with a supercharger and the motor is well built. Aluminium everything. Forged pistons the whole 9 yards anyhow I has some Bf Goodwrinch tires that were completely bauld so no hook up at all. Spun the whole time down the track. but my times were 8.3@91mph. is that decent knowing i was gettin any traction. some people were guessing thats a good 6 sec car for the 1/8 if it can just hook up. btw i have pics will post soon in and out for this car

why did you spend all of that money on the car, but not on the tires?

Probably gonna get mid-high 7's would be my guess. But those are good for baldies.

Get some Mickey Thompsons and go for it again!

You're looking around a 7.3-7.5 1/8 if you get your 60 fts into the 1.6's. Look at 98LS1 1/8 mile times on the timeslip page. Look at his mph and 60 ft to give you a good idea.

6's at 91 mph won't happen.

You would be in the 5's with JD's theroy though lol

I went 8.0 @ 87 mph with a 1.86 60 foot time. My bet is that you will be mid-high 7's

I had to edit my mph was wrong.

This is a common myth...at least on this board [8D]. The harder I hooked, the lower I trapped. I ran consistant 7.6x-7.7x trapping 90-92mph. I don't think you'll go much quicker than that. This was on 1.6x-1.7x short times. I was making 367/401 at the time I was running these passes and in similar weather as to what it is now.

Holy ****! That was 150rwhp ago....dun dun dun.
