Default my 96 gt vs srt4

on my way home from the gym this afternoon i had a good run with an srt4. we raced twice from a 40 roll and both times same result, first race he claimed he said he saw a charger and he thought it was a cop(b.s) 2nd race was a bit closer, I was in 2nd gear, honked 3 times and we go, i spun a little due to the nitrous so he jumped half a car ahead but once i caught traction i pulled even, third gear put a car on him, fourth gear keep pulling on him so he let go with me more than 2 cars ahead, overall it was a good race.
my mods are in my signature and i was spraying 125 shot.
his mod, at least what he told me: fmic, blow-off valve, full exhaust and boost controller, AEM air intake, and i guess a reflash two. the guy was cool, he complimented the stang and he told me he had a mustang before but that mine seem much faster, no ****. I have no idea what stage he is with those mods, maybe someone can chime in with some info.

very good run man!!! Those SRT 4's are made pretty fast with not many mods at all!! I'm surprised he stayed in that close with you.

You ever had your car at the track?

thanks, n/a i put down 282 rwhp/ 290 rwtq, with a 125 shot 378/ 425. i need tires that hook better than the nexen 300 i have on right now, if i wouldnt have full suspension the car would not hook at all.

thanks bro, i know those srt 4 can be made fast plus they only weight like 2800 lb. i am planning to go to the track before summer starts because it gets pretty hot and humid here in florida. I need tires before i go.

Nice run, Gears. I didn't realize you had a 331 in that car. I bet she pulls pretty good, especially with that 125. Sounds like a stage 2 SRT, more or less. PD or BB can tell you more about where it stands I'm sure.

i dont have the 331 stroker anymore, i sold that car a year ago i have to fix my sig, its a 96 gt
4.6 w/ stage 1 ported heads from bullet racing and stage 2 cams, with all supporting bolts on and full suspension, and a 125 nitrous shot.

Gotcha. Still looks like a pretty strong set-up. Would love to see what you could get out of it at the track.

OP, i'm curious as to which cams you have, since Bullet makes different grinds for a lot of companies?
