Finally got to run one.. a Red 2011 Mustang 5.0 CS. Been trying to find a stock one but this one had atleast exhaust and it sounded pretty damn good IMO.

On to the race.. I came up on a 3 lane redlight with the 5.0 in the left lane and a 99-04 Mustang GT convertible in the center lane so I took the right lane. As i pulled up the guys in the convertible looked left then right at me and started laughing. I looked over to the guy in the 5.0 and both of us nodded.

Light turns green and we both launch hard leaving the Convertible fast. He jumps out to about a 1/2 car lead thru first. I grab second and wind it out, he pushes my front bumper to his rear bumper. Grab third (chirping of course) and he slowly pushes the lead to about a car length, Slap 4th and wind it out.. with him finishing about 1.5-2 car lengths ahead of me.

We slow down at that point and we both throw thumbs up but he looks at my car with a kind of perplexed look.

Over all pleased with my cars performance and cant wait to get my tires/rims and headers/xpipe in July. Still on the fence about the procharger..

-2 cars against a 5-oh is AWESOME! Hows the 3.73's treating ya? Is first gear as useless as I suspect it will be? Hows the mileage? Im still up in the air about whether to go 3.55 or 3.73...... Im personally leaning toward the 3.55s.... just looking for more info.... thanks for the post!

Nice, gears do a lot for these things. Take that thing to the track, lets see what that thing traps.

I love these 3.73s. First gear isnt useless but you just have to feather it. I usually launch at 1500 rpms. I cant really give you an accurate MPG reading cus I can never resist babying it long enough. Ill try this week to see what kind of MPG I can get. The 3.55's should be fine though, both are good choices.

Yes, my favorite mod to the car thus far, followed by the Tune, then Exhaust/Cold Air.

Just wondering, isnt a car length measured when you are at his back bumper?
