Nice run OP, I ran a GTO a few months back on the highway and got left standing still too lol. I respect a man who will go for it in spite of knowing he's gonna lose. Takes a certain amount of mental/personal security (something vash has nothing of ).

I was beside a twin turbo Viper on last years t&t at Martin. I didn`t really care what was there but I did think it would be fun to see him leave like my engine was shut off. When we launched I didn`t see him and wondered what had happened. About 1/2 track I heard this sound not unlike a P51 Mustang fighter comming up on my left. If I didn`t know better I would say I felt wind buffeting from him. He actually only trapped at 126 or so. His tires had gone up in smoke at the line.

I saw it run later and he still hadn`t gotten the launch down yet but was up in the 134`s by then. Awsome car.

Had Corsas on the 2000 Viper, they do sound quite different, but nice. Extremely fun car to drive.......except in the rain.

I saw a blue GTS in the rain a few weeks ago...

So how bad was it?

I've heard those Vipers can get you in a bind if you don't know what you're doing. At least with the older ones anyway.

Mines nothing like that with off road pipes and a magnaflow.....very deep, exotic viper tone. Nothing sounds like it, I love it.

The wide tires make hydroplaning a serious issue in anything over a moderate rain. The grip is amazing on dry pavement and not so good on wet. While it's a great driving experience, the car does demand a competent driver.

Im on my third viper.. They sound like crap..disgusting compared to my ls1 or especially new mustangs. But while they sound like crap they do sound pretty evil. The engine is so big and lazy at 8.x liters that unless your pushing 650 plus Rwhp the engine isn't even trying and even at near redline it still sounds like it's barely revving.

As far As exotic Sounding. I'd say more of unique than exotic.. My buddy has a 570 superleggera gallardo. That thing sounds like the heavens opening.

To me the viper is the rarest, best looking, most potential from engine car for for under 110k that is also one of the few cars under 150k that is considered exotic by half of car enthusiast while to the other half it's just a really nice muscle/sports car.
